Swan Fach

Swan Fach on Swan Street dated back the 18th century.

It was left by Mrs Ffriswith Pritchard in May 10, 1757 to be leased by carpenter William Aubrey for a 999-year lease at the annual rent of £5.

He sold it to Thomas Austin and David Morgan in 1802 for £90 and by 1818 it was a multiple tenancy.

William Bowers was charged by P.C. Price with being drunk and riotous at Llantrisant. Cautioned, and to pay 7s. 6d. costs. Oliver John, of Llantrisant, with being drunk and riotous at Llantrisant. The defendant in this case was also cautioned, and was ordered to pay 7s. 3d. costs. William Thomas, of Lantwit Vardre, was charged by P.C. Price with being drunk and incapable in the streets at Llantrisant. The officer stated that defendant was, on the night of the 1st, very drunk, and lying across the street asleep. Fined 5s and costs, or seven days in prison.
