The Lamb & Flag
The original pub, simply called ‘The Inn’, was probably built during the early 17th century.
Behind it once stood a blacksmith’s shop and nearby a mill, kept busy by the many farms in the vicinity.
The Inn stood on the side of the parish road to Llantrisant and was probably a coaching inn during its early days.
The building was refurbished in the early 1920s and named the Lamb and Flag but was totally gutted in a fire during on 13 December 1998. It was then rebuilt and made into a dwelling.
